Britannia is one of the most prominent brands in the country, along with a 33% market share. Also, more than a century old Company launched its big brands in FMCG Sector. Now, the company is expanding its customer base by launching innovative and new products and renovating existing ones. Currently, the Company's brands have greater availability in the rural markets and presence in the modern trade of India. It was recognized as an equally innovative approach for products and marketing: the Lagaan Match was voted as India's most successful promotional activity of the year in 2001. Whereas, the delicious Britannia 50-50 Maska–Chaska also became India's most successful product launch. Then in 2002, Britannia's New Business Division formed a joint venture with Fonterra (the world's second-largest Dairy Company) and established the Britannia New Zealand Foods Pvt. Limited.
