The trading time for the equity markets is from 9:15 am to 03:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The Stock Markets remain closed on weekends i.e. Saturday and Sunday.

The stock markets remain closed during Diwali but NSE and BSE organize a one-hour trading session known as the ‘Muhurat Trading’ Session. As Diwali marks as the beginning of a new year in India, the session is also considered as the beginning of a new trading year.
